ABSTRACT: Investigating the benefits of early childhood education on community resilience is crucial for understanding its role in fostering strong, adaptable communities. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs contribute to community resilience. The objectives were to (1) assess the development of social skills in children, (2) evaluate the role of community-based activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in community cohesion and support networks. A survey design was employed to systematically collect data from participants. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years, involved in community-based education programs, was selected from an early childhood education center in Bayelsa State. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's social skills, the effectiveness of community-based activities, and enhanced community cohesion and support networks. The study recommended incorporating community resilience themes into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to facilitate these activities effectively.
